Eyecatchers; Oh Crap. Pinch Me, Is This A Dream?

Thanks Instagram for ruining my life. Unsuspectingly scrolling through random pictures and out of nowhere hit by THIS:

No not the shoes, the skirts! I totally went crazy, all I have ever been dreaming of: tulle, mesh, midi, pleated, clean, subtle in the most dramatic way possible. And then I looked at the caption. @wmag postet about Dior's Spring Couture Collection 2015.

Dior. Crap. Haute Couture. Oooh crap.
I could buy a house, a car, a new bike (more like two), travel for a year, get all my tattoos at once OR I could buy this dream of a skirt. LOOK AT THIS! Stuff had me like:

Pure Dream. Pure DREAM! I need to win the lottery. Or a sugar daddy. Aaaaw yeah!
I'll just ignore the fact that I think normal people could never get a hand on couture collections anyway. This probably is the highest level of first world problems I ever experienced, but also the highest level of objectophilia sooo...yeah.

And right at the very moment when I comforted myself with 'you don't have the appropriate shoe for this kind of skirt anyway...', Instagram came up with Topshop Unique's Spring Summer '15 Collection:

C'mon, really?! One prettier than the other.

You sure Marc Zuckerberg can't read minds or stuff? Damn it.

New Year's Twist

So, over the last two months I went through the dullest and greyest slump I can ever remember.
I wasn't sad, I wasn't sick (except for a little cold) I just stopped doing everything and stared at the ceiling of my bed instead. No bad thoughts, still no sadness, just dull, meaningless staring. I stopped biking, cooking and eating well, working out, yoga, running, meeting friends. And I had absolutely no motivation to change this state. It felt so weird because I didn't want to do anything else but staring at my ceiling. When I had work to do, I finished it and went back to bed. When I didn't stare at my ceiling I stared at my computer screen and binge-watched Friends. All of the 10 seasons. I really loved the series for their exceptional characters who all accepted each other for who they are, awesome idea. But I wasn't happy either. Not happy, not sad, just dull. I have no idea how that happened, but I blame the weather. Winter really hit me between the eyes.

Good thing is, I started to find my way back. Eating well, drinking green smoothies, running, playing tennis, enduro tours. Motivation still is nowhere to find but being sick of this oppressive dullness helps a lot, too. I hope that my old habits come back when I push them myself.
Motivation follows, happiness follows, that's the plan.

But wintertime is always fashion-time for me, which luckily was the one thing that stayed with me.
I collected a lot of inspirations over the endless days at home, got some key-pieces that I cant wait to try out in spring/summer.
I got fed up over wearing jeans, so some other bottoms found the way into my closet.
Flared Midi Skirts and Cullotes are my absolute favourite right now.

Tibi always comes up with a great range of flared skirts, I love the combination with the cropped blouses!

Oscar de la Renta was shining with a perfectly feminine collection again - I would
LOVE to find a skirt like that. The feather-straps on the sandals are also gorgeous!

I also discovered my love for sneakers! Plain, simple sneakers with a chic twist are my favourite.
Shoes in general, I want to wear more pretty heels this year!

Janoskis are my absolute favourite right now. In my eyes, the perfect plain sneaker

It takes me a looong time, to find heels that I like. Either they are too high to walk on or the shape doesn't fit or or or....but I want THESE!

Twisting styles up is the most fun. Chic cullotes with vans, sheer blouse with a sports bra underneath. Love it! Found at theclassyissue.com

Yeah, my main goal this year is to celebrate my womanhood a bit more.
New Year's came a little late for me. Still doesn't feel like a real wake-up-call but it's a baby step. Baby steps back into happiness!
For the smirks here and there:

Eyecatchers; Embrace The Summer

Everytime I need to study, I back out to my mom. Not just because my mom is the most caring mom in the world (she cleans my shaker the second I put it down, thanks mom!!), I always feel like I'm able to concentrate my energy the best when I'm around her.
Usually, when I'm in my 'studying-cocoon', it doesn't take long until I feel exhausted and fed up by constantly doing the same thing. I always felt like I'm missing out the best while looking at the sun.
But this summer feels different. Although it isn't even August, I already can say this is the best summer of my life. It's all the small things that make me so, so happy. The first step was to stop forcing myself to stay at home just to calm my remorse, even if I'm procrastinating instead of studying. When I feel the unproductiveness coming up, I just do something else, go outside and turn my mind off without any remorse and voilá, the next studying session turns out to be even more productive.
I'm doing yoga every morning. Stepping outside and taking these 15 Minutes just for myself after waking up turned out to be the perfect start. Yoga is one of the few things that don't make me feel the duty to progress and this is relieving.
In general, my workout routine feels more and more like an essential part of my life and not like a duty anymore. My goals I set along with it, like changing my diet and my lifestyle, slowly assume the shape I imagined, step by step. I also stopped rushing and being frustrated, I accepted my mantra: With me, everything takes a little bit longer. Slow but steady progress, that's what counts for me now.
So I study outside at my moms's little garden, tan my pale skin.
I go stand up paddling or swimming with my friends, chug around in my tiny car with loud music, discover new and old music, skip over every genre I know, I discover old passions, embrace every rain shower and wander around in my thoughts.
I even embrace the fact that I don't feel the urge to ride my bike. It's just not the time right now.
What a lovely summer. Whatever you have for me, I love you for every day, dear summer.

So here's a random collection of pictures I took myself and the ones I discovered on the net, I think it's obvious which is which, so I'm gonna let out the source rummaging.
Instagram turned out to be a huge inspirational source, the one I'm the most grateful for is the discovery of the C-Heads Magazine, check it out! Beatiful women, beautiful fashion.

Old and new, just like everything else. Hucci will be my Hero forever.

Hard to believe that this is Dusseldorf. The fog patches were caused by the hail beforehand.

Last but not least: Mary Katrantzou surpassed herself with her AW '14 and Resort '15 Collection. After she enriched the fashion industry with her exceptional digital prints which got copied ad nauseam, now you see her grow up and and experiment. Alternative fabrics and cuts have been added to her talent for prints, I love it.

Eyecatchers; Girl Material

I feel like I'm never going to be a wholehearted blogger. There really was a lot of material to blog about lately, but I feel some kind of aversion against documenting everything around me. Long story short: I simply forget about it every time. Not really productive for my blog, but I actually like the fact that I prefer rather keeping my experiences in my memories than feeling the urge to share. Sometimes I even feel like i developed some kind of allergy against this self-staging on social media platforms.

Nevertheless, what I wanted to tell you is: I have no riding material to offer, but I've spent a lot of time rambling through shops and online-shops (with Zero Euros available) looking for spring and summer Inspirations. My Faves are: flared midi skirts and pants, swing dresses, feminine dresses made of soft fabrics or in complete contrast, bold printed, angular tops in combination with tight pants or leggings.
Shoes: Delicate sandals, mid heels and classic sneakers.
Hopefully I'm able to share all the things with you that I listed above. But at first, I want to share my inspirations an my wishlist with you.

And these are the affordable pieces I chose:

Boohoo.com: Textured Top, Midi Dress, Chiffon Skirt

&Other Stories: Silk Dress, Striped Dress

But before I can even start to dream about looking shiny in the summer...My bike needs a new fork at first, haha.

Impressions; How To Change A Life

So, 3 months have passed since my last post, moving took a lot of time.
I spent a day at one of the wonderful places of my new home with the talented photographer Stefan Klinker, we made some nice fashion shots but also captured the great scenery.
Oh, and to keep the tradition, with the matching soundtrack of course:

The fashion is following the next days.

Eyecatchers; August

I didn't just fall in love with Meta's Music immediately, I'm also enchanted by their EP-Designs. They match so perfectly with their music.
My favourite tracks:

I never thought it would be possible to unite my opposing music taste. (in such a great way!)
The guy from Seattle and the sound engineer from Iceland are true geniuses!
Check the rest of them here.

I got fed up with the teenie-first-world-crap of weheartit.com, so I found FFFOUND!. Finally some grown up shit. And lots of porn too, haha. Tumblr ambiance coming up!
But for me, the new eyecatchers caught a huge wave of wanderlust, but I have to keep my feet under my desk due to studying.
Can you name all of the Ghibli Spirits?

This is by far the cutest T-Rex comic. T-Rex ist the best! And the MOST ADORABLE little baby otter that I have ever seen. I want to be a baby otter!

I know, everybody loves Cara Delevigne. I love her for the fact that the first picture that shows up when you google her name is this one:
