G&A; Dedicated To Kannibalen Records

Funny, how things come together sometimes.
About a month ago, my favourite label Kannibalen Records released one brilliant track after another.
It all began with Dabin and their dreamy track called 'Bloodless', the snowball effect kicked in and I discovered some many other perfect tracks.
I clearly remember my discovery of Kai Wachi, Apashe and Snails this summer and I was remarkably impressed how the founders BTSM have a way for exceptional talents.

Anyways, after their release-explosion a month ago I spammed all my social media accounts with their tracks but I thought the idea of a whole blog post only filled with soundcloud-links would be a bit boring.
The day BTSM and Apashe released their genius track 'The Grave', I couldn't resist and enter a giveaway by them and I won two of their T-Shirts!

I wanted the pictures to be something special, just like Kannibal Rec are to me. So I made use of the early sunset in wintertime and experimented with lights and wet weather. I actually took the pictures with my small digicam because I don't have a self-timer remote for my DSLR. This tiny little fella does some incredible work!

Photo Material; Gratitude

Today I went on a trip trough the rural area around me called Bergisches Land. I just never stop being fascinated by the endless beauty of the landscape right at my doorstep, so I took my mom with me to show her why I love my home so much. We both felt like kids again, shoving our hands through irish moss, spotting fly agarics and wild blueberries. Such a lovely day!
Actually I don't really need to travel the world, I felt like I walked through Norway and Canada within minutes today.

I really don't know how to show my gratitude someway other than just showing that I make use of one of the best things that happened to me this year. I'm not a photographer nor do I ever plan to be one, but having a small DSLR Camera that I can play around with, a Nikon D50, is absolutely amazing. You sharpen your eye and your view for the world around you, I love it!
I love learning new things, thank you so so so much for giving me that opportunity, Vanessa.

G&A; Home Improvement

With the great help of my mom, I decided to transform my little cube (that's how my place got baptized) into a DIY-Home. I'm short of space but have a lot to store like my bikes, my clothes, my shoes...so I saved furniture, but took the best out of what I have.

We're not done yet, but I want to document the great work and progress.

1. My kitchen 

I think we got more than the maximum out of my tiny cooking place. And I love it so much. There is no space for usual kitchen racks so we bought two of these 10€ Shelves at IKEA, got my favourite color mixed at the hardware store and painted both of them (I think it was called peppermint). The wall fixings are IKEA too, called the FINTORP Series. The cute little cats and the essentials of my tea corner (green tea, black tea and owls of course) are presents of my mom. Thank you so much! 

The greens on top of my fridge were my mom's idea, too. They are a mix of cress and sprouts, already a little bit overgrown. Perfect for salad! 

2. My "Dining-Table"

This construction is entirely made out of my mom's old furnishings, except for the seat cushions which are available here. We painted the table in the color 'blackberry' (mixed at the hardware store, too) and the top is made out of my old homework drawings from school. I didn't want to throw them away so I covered the tabletop with napkin decoupage and sealed it with acrylic. When I find a matching measure, I want to put a glass top over it.



3. My terrace

Okay, this isn't actually inside, but I just love the view so much. The furniture and the flower pots are inherited, too. We planted two boxwoods, primroses, carnations and a pot of peppermints. I can't wait for the fresh ice-tea in summer!

G&A; Business Upgrade

After 3 years, I decided to grant myself some new clothes. I have an endurobike that I need to build up but hey, let's buy some new racing gears! Must be a girl thing.
But I saw this combo by Thor and I thought daaaang I need this! And it matches my D3 perfectly, do I need another argument? But to enhance my spending spree, I also ordered a pair of straps for my Leatt Brace, which are way more comfortable than the standard. I also decided to buy a pair of new knee pads, but I wasn't smart enough to notice that I ordered the childrens size! Well done, haha.

While the pants fit perfectly, the jersey is way too big for me, even size S. Maybe I'm gonna let it tailor, but I don't know yet. I don't like selfies in front of the mirror so I hope the first time you're gonna see me in my new 'suit', is gonna be on my bike.

Impressions; How To Change A Life

So, 3 months have passed since my last post, moving took a lot of time.
I spent a day at one of the wonderful places of my new home with the talented photographer Stefan Klinker, we made some nice fashion shots but also captured the great scenery.

G&A; A Dream Came True

Next birthday-present-flood: I GOT A F****IN TLD D3!
I literally jumped trough my whole apartment when I opened the package. It's the helmet of my dreams, the Troy Lee Designs Pinstripe in blue!
Thanks to my good friend Alex I got the opportunity to afford one for my birthday and my dad was so kind to sponsor me and and and and....it's a D3, damn it! The perfect color, the perfect shape, the perfect fit, this helmet is simply perfect.
Even if I don't feel fast enough to deserve wearing this exclusive piece of helmet, I don't care anymore because it's just f****ing beautiful!
I'm avare of the fact that it's not really special anymore to own a D3 because the value of expensiveness seems to have been faded, but for me, owning this helmet really is an honor.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!

G&A; Love Gives You Wings

The birthday-present-flood is in full swing, even if my new year of age is already 1 week old!

My friends are simply the best, after my boyfriend equipped me with some essential bike-stuff, my beloved friend Ela absolutely hit the mark with these amazing shoelace-wings!
For the last two years I've been (and still am) so hopelessly in love with the original Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals Wings 2.0 but as you can guess, one expensive hobby as a student is enough, so I still just dream to find these shiny wings on my feet.
But actually I barely told anybody about this obsession and I didn't know that some kind of 'shwings' even exist so I totally freaked out when I ripped off the wrapping paper!

Even the packaging is so incredibly great...It says: 'The venerable wings of Jana the messenger of the gods'.
Now I have my own little interpretation of Wing Shoes thanks to lovely Ela, thank you so so so much!

 I decided to put both wings on one side because I'm kind of a fan of asymmetry.

Eyecatchers; My Summer-Wishlist

It has been more than two months since I uplodaed my own pictures and this really annoys me! I have so many ideas but I had no camera to implement all of them and now I am almost exploding! But luckily it was my birthday yesterday and my parents were so kind to sponsor me a new camera. And here it is, my new work tool! It's a Canon PowerShot SX220 HS

I'm a student so I have no money for a DSLR, but I love this little beauty already.

BUT that's not the thing I wanted to talk about today.
While the battery still needs to charge, I have another inspirational-like topic for you.
Just in time, the sun started to smile on my birthday after lots and lots of rainy days. So I started to think about what I want to wear to smile back at the sun!
